Alexander Joseph was born December 1843 in St Thomas, Denmark located in the West Indies. He immigrated to the United States in 1871 and received his naturalization papers in Pennsylvania. Alexander Joseph came to Maryland and married Ellen Nora (Eleanor) Hull circa 1873. She was born circa 1859 in Somerset County, Maryland. Her parents were Sidney Hull and Mary Waller Hull of Wetipquin. In 1900 He had been in the United States for 27 years and she was the mother of seven children only four of them were still living. The children of this marriage were Andrew Joseph, Thomas Henry Joseph, Elizabeth Joseph and Alexander Joseph. By 1910 Alexander Joseph was a widower.

First Child. Andrew Joseph was born January 14, 1879 in Wetipquin. He married Mary Mosley Jones Joseph circa 1902 in Wetipquin. She was born March 1885. Her parents were James Jones and Virginia Jones of Tyaskin, Maryland. Mary Joseph was a midwife delivering babies in the communities on the Westside. The children of this marriage were James Benjamin Joseph, Mary Alice Joseph, Sophia Joseph, Ida Virginia Joseph, Zenobia Joseph, Andrew Joseph and Foskey Joseph. Andrew Joseph passed July 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his wife Mary Mosley Jones Joseph passed away July 1956 in Wetipquin. They were buried in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Wetipquin.

James Benjamin Joseph was born circa 1903 in Wetipquin. He passed away March 8, 1925 age 21 in Wetipquin, Maryland. Richard Joseph was the second son of Andrew and Mary Joseph. There is no record of him except in an obituary of his brother Foskey Joseph. Mary Alice Joseph was born circa 1909 in Wetipquin. Her first marriage was to Theodore Rosevelt Armstrong of White Haven in 1923. Her second marriage was to Jacob Robert Tull of Wetipquin. He was born circa 1902 in Wetipquin. His parents were George Tull and Alice Jones Tull. Their children were Linwood H Tull, Violet Joseph and Curtis Joseph, an infant, was born June 17, 1928; he passed away June 18, 1929. Mary Alice Joseph Tull passed away January 3, 1990 in Salisbury, Maryland and her husband Jacob Robert Tull passed December 1977.  They were buried in Odd Fellows cemetery in Wetipquin.

Zenobia Joseph was born circa 1908 in Wetipquin.  Her first marriage was to Charles Francis Stanford October 25, 1932 in White Haven, Maryland. He was born circa 1911 in Preston, Maryland. Her second marriage was to Amos Waters of New Town in White Haven, Maryland.

Ida Virginia Joseph was born circa 1906 in Wetipquin. She married Namon Jenkins in 1931. He was born circa 1908 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their daughter was Catherine Jenkins. Ida Virginia Joseph Jenkins passed August 1988 in Philadelphia, PA. She was buried in Odd Fellows cemetery in Wetipquin.

Foskey W Joseph was born August 17, 1914 in Wetipquin. He married Sarah Bailey December 9, 1933 in White Haven, Maryland. She was born circa 1914 in Wetipquin. Her parents were Theodore Bailey and Minta Seldon Bailey of Wetipquin. Foskey was a World War 11 Veteran and received several medals of Honor while in the military. His children are Rawna Camper, Bonnie Waters and Larry Waters. Foskey W Joseph passed January 22, 2000 and was buried in Odd Fellows in Wetipquin.

Andrew Joseph Junior was born circa 1912 in Wetipquin. He married Hazel Kenny of Delmar, Maryland in 1934.  The children of this marriage are Zenobia Joseph, Daisy Joseph, Geneva Joseph, Edith Joseph and Clarence Joseph. Andrew and his family lived Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He passed away September 15, 1987 and was buried in Odd Fellows cemetery in Wetipquin.

Second Child. Thomas Henry Joseph was April 4, 1882 in Wetipquin. He married Lucy Wright January 16, 1902 in Wetipquin. She was born August 1885 in Wetipquin. Her parents were William Jones and Sally Wright. The children of this marriage were Lola Joseph, Robert Joseph, Maurice Joseph, Ennis Joseph, Floyd Joseph, Alexander Joseph and Eleanor Joseph. Thomas Henry Joseph passed November 1955 in Wetipquin and his wife Lucy Wright Joseph passed away November 1966 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were buried in Odd Fellows cemetery in Wetipquin.

Robert Joseph was the oldest son of Thomas Henry Joseph and Lucy Wright Joseph. There is not much information concerning him. Maurice (Resie) Joseph was born circa 1902 in Wetipquin. She married Handy C White April 15. 1931in Quantico, Maryland. The children of this marriage are Virginia White and Jacqueline White. Resie and her family lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her second marriage was to Homer Ellis. Maurice Joseph Ellis passed December 1970 was buried in Pennsylvania.

Lola Joseph was born December 15, 1909 in Wetipquin. She married Robert Charles Mitchell in 1923. He was born September 1903 in Wetipquin. His parents were James Arthur Mitchell and Leola D Robinson Mitchell. Their daughter is Cleo Mitchell Lowry. Cleo resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She had two daughter Brenda and Linda Lowry. Brenda Cleo Lowry was born October 29, 1942 in Philadelphia. She passed away September 8, 2003.  Lola Joseph second marriage was to Alexander Alston. She was baptized October 18, 1953 by Reverend E Theodore Lewis of Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lola Ray Joseph Alston passed February 5, 1980 in Philadelphia.

Ennis Joseph was born circa 1913 in Wetipquin. He married Odessa Bivens September 5, 1949 in Salisbury, Maryland. She was born circa 1923 in Chance, Maryland. Her parents were John and Edith Bivens.  Their son was Gregory Joseph, now deceased.  Ennis Joseph passed away October 1970 in Philadelphia and was buried in Odd Fellows cemetery in Wetipquin. His wife Odessa Bivens Joseph passed 2009 in Philadelphia.

Alexander Joseph was born circa 1921 in Wetipquin.  He married Lucy Wright of Jesterville, Maryland August 21, 1942. Her Parents were Essie Pearl Wilson Wright and Andrew B Wright of Jesterville. The children of this marriage are Eleanor Joseph, Jean Eliza Joseph and Faye Joseph. Alexander second marriage was to Ethel Frances Hull September 28, 1957 in Wetipquin. She was born circa 1929 in Tyaskin.  Her Parents John Samuel Hull and Janie Jones Hull of Tyaskin. Alexander and his brother Floyd married two sisters. Alexander Joseph is deceased. 

Floyd Collins Joseph was born circa 1927 in Wetipquin. He Married Mary Alice Hull Joseph May 18, 1947 in Tyaskin, Maryland. She was born circa 1929. Her parents were John Samuel Hull and Janie Jones Hull of Tyaskin, Maryland. The children of this marriage are Diana Joseph and Eugene Joseph.  Floyd had a set of twin (unnamed) in his second marriage. Floyd Joseph is deceased.

Eleanor Elizabeth Joseph was born June 10, 1929 in Wetipquin. She married Raymond Bernard Lashley October 11, 1940 in Sharptown, Maryland.  He was born circa 1920 in Sharptown. She relocated to Philadelphia in 1948 and became a faithful member of Faith Tabernacle (Muchmore Memorial) Baptist Church in Philadelphia. She served in many capacities in the Church and her community. Eleanor attended LaSalle College in Pennsylvania.  Her second marriage was to Robert Wilson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  The children of this marriage are Brandon Wilson, Andre Wilson, Donna Wilson, Robin Wilson and a stepdaughter – Raconda Wilson. Eleanor Elizabeth Joseph passed away February 5, 1992 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Third Child. Elizabeth Joseph was born March 1884 in Wetipquin.  She married William Francis Moore March 11, 1902 in Wetipquin.  He was born December 8, 1880 in Wetipquin. His parents were Noah Francis Moore and Mary Wilson Moore of Wetipquin. The children of this marriage were Mattie Ellen Moore, Mary Amelia Moore, Norris Moore, Maude Moore, Booker Moore, Beulah Moore and Edgar F Moore who passed away June 4, 1910 in Wetipquin.  Elizabeth Joseph Moore passed away July 1971 in Salisbury, Maryland and her husband William Francis Moore passed away October 1969 in Williamsburg, Maryland.  They were buried in Odd Fellows cemetery in Wetipquin.

Four Child. Alexander Joseph Junior was born March 23, 1886 in Wetipquin. His wife was Susan Joseph from Virginia. In 1910 at age 25, he was living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his family. She was the mother of two children. One child was still living.  His name was Alexander Joseph. They had been married for nine years.  Family members said that Alexander Joseph Junior was minister of the Gospel.
