Come, go back home with me, if only for a day.
Where nodding oaks and pines greet you in a humble way,
Come, where picturesque maples beams in their golden scarlet array.
Come and watch the streams flow gently to the river’s shore,
Then watch leaping trout perform their skills over and over
They seem to say in a teasing way, “catch me if you can!”
Come go back home me, well dream of when we were young,
How we rumpled the sandy hills, in the blazing sun.
Just for a day, we’ll reminisce about all the things we craved,
How our lives were filled with bliss in so many ways.
Come and we’ll gather here, in a chapel that lingers neigh,
We’ll give thank and praises to our God who reigns on high.
