Down life's dusty trail we walked,

You and I together,

We could master any storm,

Because we had each other.

Down life's rugged lane we walked,

Through sorrow pain and strike,

Through shadows round about us played,

We shared  a pleasant life.

The we saw a mountain steep,

That you couldn't climb,

So, you said I'll fall asleep,

And I left you behind.

Although I have to walk alone,

I will not be afraid,

Because somewhere along the way,

You taught me to be brave.

Down life' trail I'll travel on

Though your face I can not see,

I will cherish each memory dear

For what you gave to me.
