Vernetta Denise Mitchell was born May 15, 1965 in Salisbury, Maryland to the late Leon and Constance Mitchell, both formerly of Salisbury, Maryland. Netta, as she was lovingly called by family and friends, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 1, 2020 in Baltimore, Maryland at the age of fifty-five (55).

Netta received her early education at Wenequah Elementary School in Quantico, Maryland. She graduated from Wicomico High School in 1983. Netta also had her CNA Certification. She was last employed by Amazon and Lowes.

Netta received the Lord as her personal Savior about twenty (20) years ago. She was extremely proud of her salvation. Her loving memory will be cherished by: her son, Chauncey Wallace II; her sister, Darlene (Patrick) Dennis-Glenwright; her brother, Nick Fitchett; her nephew, Bremant’e Tull; two nieces, Shania Glenwright and Ginelle Quailes; her favorite (only) great-son-nephew, Malachi Mitchell; a devoted friend, Vincent Stevenson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Monik Stewart and her sister, Terri Mitchell. Lovingly Submitted. The family of the late Vernetta Denise Mitchell wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all those have supported us during this time of loss. May God continue to bless you all.  The Mitchell Family

Psalms 23

A Psalm of David.

  1. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
  2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
  3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
  4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
  5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
  6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
