Quietly and peacefully on 07/15/95, our Heavenly Father gently closed the eyes of Ella Jean Cornish Way, also lovingly known as "Jean-Jean" and carried her in his arms to well earned reward.
Ella Jean was born Ella Hull Cornish and the late James W. Cornish in Rockawalkin, Maryland. After attending Wicomico County Public Schools, she continued her education for two years at Bowie State College in Bowie, Maryland. At an early age she became a member of Friendship United Methodist Church of Wetipquin, Maryland.
She is survived by her husband, Levin Joseph Way, three step daughters, four stepsons and one godson, Gregory Camper of Wetipquin, Maryland; two sisters, Mary W. Blake and Joyce Cornish of Wetipquin, Maryland; one brother, James Nelson Cornish of Newport News, Virginia; six nieces and nephews: Regina Morris, Douglas Blake, James Kevin Cornish, Marcia Cornish, Nelson Olando and Terrence James Cornish; two great nieces and five great nephews, three uncles, four aunts, three great aunts, and two great uncles; one sister-in-law, Brenda Cornish of Newport News, Virginia and one brother-in-law, Curtis W. Blake Jr. pof Wetipquin, Maryland.
A very dear friend from school days, Betty Dixion and family of Morristown, New Jersey and a host of relatives and friends.
